The 2012 Asian Attractions Expo held at the Hong Kong Convention Centre earlier in the month reflected the rapid growth of the attractions industry in Asia, according to the show’s organisers IAAPA.

Preliminary figures indicate 5,150 people attended the four-day show and 274 companies from 32 countries exhibited, covering 6,360sq.m of floor space, the largest amount of space in the show’s history.

IAAPA president and CEO Chip Cleary commented: “The conference and trade show has grown tremendously since opening the IAAPA Asia-Pacific office less than two years ago and going forward we expect the show will continue to reflect industry growth within the region.”

“Attractions industry veterans and newcomers alike understand the rapid industry growth in Asia provides great opportunity,” added Andrew Lee, vice president, IAAPA’s Asia-Pacific operations. “Whether buying or exhibiting, more and more companies from around the globe look to AAE as a must-attend event.”
